Ford Farm Cave Aged Cheddar is wrapped in cheese cloth and left to mature deep in the Wookey Hole Caves of Somerset, England. The consistent temperature and humidity of the caves offer ideal conditions for storing and ageing cheddar and the porous nature of the cheese enable it to take on the distinctive earthy and nutty flavours from the atmosphere.

The texture is firm and the cheese is cream-coloured. The aroma is a complex mix of sweet, creamy, farmy and earthy. The flavours are big, robust and well rounded, with competing notes such as sweet and salty, or earthy and tangy.

The ultimate cheese platter addition, serve it with a full-bodied red wine, or top it on a gourmet burger. You just can't go wrong with this one.

The unique and extra special cave treatment has earned the cheese the world-renowned Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) accreditation, certifying its production methods and geographical location.
